Why We Created Rose Capital Funding

So the big question about a funding partner is WHY? Why did they go into business? Why do they work with small businesses?

Back in 2008-2009, we witnessed banks pull back from lending to small to medium-sized businesses. This put many merchants in a precarious position. Merchants could no longer rely on their local banks to provide the support they needed. Even for well-qualified merchants, banks made their approvals harder to get, and their processes became longer and more bureaucratic. We found that a little bad luck or unforeseen circumstances could hurt a company’s credit and essentially make them unbankable. We saw many of the funders that entered the market not treating merchants in the way we believe merchants should be treated.

And there you have it – we built a specialty finance company focused on serving small to mid-sized business through good times and bad in a way that we could be proud of. We truly care about our merchants, and that comes through in every interaction with our merchants: our style of open communication, flexibility in how we structure deals, the transparency of our terms and our willingness to be supportive through challenging times. So, that’s the “why”. We’re often asked, ‘what is our biggest differentiator’? ‘Why should we go with Rose Capital instead of the others?’
